How we allocate vacant plots

 

From time to time, plots become vacant at our allotment site.

We maintain a Waiting List of all applicants for new plots and, when a plot becomes available, we process this list in application date order.

We normally only consider applicants who live within a 3 mile radius of West End Esher.

Our plots vary in size from 67 square yards to 378 square yards and we usually only allocate our larger plots to applicants who have previous experience of maintaining allotments.

The cost of our plots

 

Our plot rental rate is 20p per square yard.

There is also a charge of £5 per plot holder ( £10 for couples) for membership of the National Allotment Society (NAS) and the Esher Molesey Garden Society (EMGS)

We group our plots into 3 categories:

  • Small - up to 100 square yards
  • Medium - over 100 up to 200 square yards
  • Large - over 200 up to 378 square yards

Typical Small Sized Plot - 80 square yards costing £16.00 p.a.

Typical Medium Sized Plot - 130 square yards costing £26.00 p.a.

Typical Large Sized Plot - 252 square yards costing £50.40 p.a.
